My name is Oscar Garcia. I’m a lifelong Kansas Citian, with pit stops in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Wichita, Kansas. I earned a journalism degree from the University of Kansas and a law degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City.
Over the years, I’ve worn a few hats golf caddie, photojournalist, server at my family’s restaurant, law clerk, and city council aide. I now work as a Research Coordinator at the Mattie Rhodes Center, focusing on issues affecting the Latino and Hispanic community here in Kansas City.
